Welcome to Magna Bay Hideaway.
Located in the beautiful North Shuswap, BC, this warm and inviting log home can fit up to 20 guests with its 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The fenced .6 acre property with plenty of lawn, a magical forested area, a shallow pond and a firepit is perfect for families.
With a 2 minute walk to the nearest community beach, a designated buoy for your boat, an 8 person hot tub, and hiking and biking trails nearby, this lakeview property is your ultimate vacation destination.
The space
Filled with natural light and open spaces, this log home is perfect for making memories, hosting retreats or celebrating small events. The listing is for the entire home, set on a private .6 acre fenced yard with a pull through driveway. The home is fully equipped, so all you need to bring is food, drink and personal items.
The main living room is flooded with natural light, has a lakeview, a large screen TV, a wood burning fireplace and access to the covered wrap around deck. The open loft overlooks it and adds another living space with a sectional that sleeps two. A quiet nook between the loft and bedrooms is a good place to read or daydream, and it converts to a double sofa bed that sleeps two. Downstairs, the rec room has a wet bar with two beverage fridges, arcade style video games and another sofa bed. About 12 or 13 guests sleep comfortably in beds, including a single-over-double bunk; pullout sofas and a futon sleep another 7 and are best suited to children and youth.

Loved our stay! Tons of space for people to sleep as well as lots of common areas inside and out to gather. Had tons of amenities! Brigitta was lovely, kind, and responsive. Would definitely recommend for groups or families!

We had a great stay! The host was very accommodating for our large group. There was plenty of parking, the hot tub was perfect for relaxing, and the deck was an awesome place to hang out. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Highly recommend for big groups.

This is a lovely place with lots of space. It is definitely worth the money. We loved how the property was fully gated so that our grandchildren could freely ride their bikes. We loved that all we needed was our clothing and food. We will for sure be staying there again.

We had the best time at this cabin! It was the perfect getaway for our group — there’s tons of space with multiple bedrooms and so many cozy beds (honestly, some of the most comfortable any of us have ever slept in). Everything was spotless when we arrived, and there were more than enough towels for the hot tub, beach, and showers.

Magna Bay Hideaway was a great cabin for our large family gathering. The indoor living space flowed easily onto the large covered deck, so even 20+ people were easily accommodated for a birthday celebration. The fully stocked kitchen and big grill made cooking for our large group a breeze. Big yard with fire pit and lawn games, hot tub, and a beach just a few steps up the road were all bonuses for this vacation rental. We’ll be back!

What time is check-in, and how do we get in?
Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM, with self check-in by keypad, so there is no key handoff to coordinate. Checkout is by 10:00 AM.
How many people can stay, and where does everyone sleep?
The home can take up to 20 guests. About 12 or 13 sleep comfortably in beds, including a single-over-double bunk. Another 7 can sleep on pullout sofas and a futon. Those spots are best suited to children and youth. When you book, Brigitta and Bruce will confirm the sleeping layout works for your group.
How far is the beach, really?
The nearest community beach is a two minute walk away. The property is also a lakeview one, so the water is in sight before you leave the deck.
Can we bring our boat?
Yes. The home comes with a designated buoy for your boat, and the pull through driveway has parking for six or more vehicles with room for boat trailers.
Can we have a campfire?
There is an outdoor fire pit, and one bundle of firewood per night is included whenever there is no fire ban in effect.
Is there a hot tub?
Yes, an eight person hot tub. The fully fenced yard also has a BBQ grill, a ping pong table, and lawn games.
Is the internet good enough to work from?
The home is connected by Starlink. There are also seven TVs throughout the house and a DVD library for the evenings.
Can we bring the dog?
No pets, sorry. The house rules also ask for no smoking, no parties or events, and quiet hours.
How do I book, and how do I pay?
Pick your dates and send a booking request. No payment is taken online. Brigitta and Bruce confirm your dates personally and arrange payment with you directly, with e-transfer the preferred way to pay.
When is payment due, and is there a damage deposit?
A non-refundable 50% payment is due 60 days before arrival, with the remaining balance due 30 days before arrival. Cancel more than 60 days before arrival and you receive a full refund. A $2,000 CAD refundable damage deposit is sent by e-transfer with the final payment and returned within 14 days of checkout.

Meet Brigitta and Bruce
Hello! We are your hosts, Brigitta and Bruce Beer.
We’ve always had a heart for hosting. Our long-term plan was to convert part of our family home in West Kelowna into vacation rental suites once our children were grown and creating homes of their own.
In 2023, we lost our home in the wildfires, and life took an unexpected turn. But our love for bringing people together never changed.
Two years later, we discovered this beautiful log home in Magna Bay in the North Shuswap, and it immediately felt like the perfect place for a new beginning. It’s a space for families and friends to gather, celebrate, reconnect, play, rest, and enjoy time together.
We’re so excited to share it with others and hope it becomes a place where many special memories are made.
